On This Week’s Christian Rock 20

Ryan Clark, lead singer and song-writer for Demon Hunter will be calling in to the show this weekend to talk with us about The World Is A Thorn. Listen in to find out how he feels about the departure of his brother Don from the band and how things are going with their two latest additions to the band.

New Headlining Tour For Skillet

Atlantic/Ardent/INO’s Artist and Group of the Year Dove-nominated recording group Skillet has announced details of their upcoming headline tour. The “Awake & Alive Tour” begins April 15th at Scranton, Pennsylvania’s Scranton Cultural Center and then continues through late May (see itinerary below or click here). Joining the Grammy-nominated rock outfit on the trek will be fellow nominees RED, whose most recent effort, “Innocence & Instinct,” climbed its way to the Top 5 on iTunes Top Albums chart. Also joining the tour will be hard rock outfit, The Letter Black.

MORE »Hey guys. Tim here. I’ve been meaning to start writing these little note things a bit more often. Just keep you guys in the loop a bit better, but I’ve been slacking. Hopefully myself and Jared can start giving things a bit more of a personal touch as far as keeping you updated.
First things first. I’m extremely bummed to announce that our drummer, Mr. Colin Rigsby will not be joining us on this upcoming tour.
He’s reached a point where he just can’t make the sacrifice of being away from his family anymore. With a 3 year old son and a pregnant wife in her 3rd trimester, Colin had to make the very difficult decision to sit this tour out and be the husband and father he knows he needs to be. The rest of us fully support this decision as family ALWAYS comes before rock n’ roll. We’re not entirely sure what the future holds as far as Colin’s involvement with House of Heroes, but as of right now he will…
40 Fest Takes Over Texas Motor Speedway

Popular Christian Rock artists Hawk Nelson, Decyfer Down, Pillar, Emery, Brian “Head” Welch, Project 86, The Letter Black, Wavorly, FlatFoot56, Don’t Wake Aislin and This Beautiful Republic will be performing atForty Fest - Resonate! 2010, a daylong music festival on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth, Texas from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The goal of Forty Fest is to provide an opportunity for individuals and groups to get together and enjoy a day of positive rock music and great speakers, meet incredible people, make friends and experience life together. In addition to the bands and speakers, there will be sports activities, exhibits and a youth group tailgating area.
The name “Forty Fest” is based on the significance of the number 40 throughout the Bible and how it’s often associated with some form of change. As we know, most of society today is in need of positive change and we hope Forty Fest will provide an experience that will be the beginning of a spiritual awakening with individuals and perhaps even society as a whole.
Tickets to the festival are $29.50 until March 12th and discounted tickets are available for groups of 10 or more. Ticket prices increase closer to the Festival dates. Tickets can be purchased on the ticket page of the festival website at www.fortyfest.org or by calling iTickets at 1.800.965.9324.
