Alive in You is the new album from 7eventh Time Down, a Christian southern rock/pop group from Kentucky. 7eventh Time Down is reminiscent of bands like Kutless, Jeremy Camp and Decyfer Down. Bandmembers are lifelong friends Mikey Howard, lead vocals, Eric VanZant, lead guitar, Cliff Williams, bass, and Austin Miller, drums. This is their first album with BEC Recordings.
The title track, “Alive in You,” is a catchy song about having a sacrificial attitude about living for Christ. “What About Tonight,” a driving song with a rhythmic bass line, calls us to passionately serve others.
The album picks up energy with Love Parade and Jesus Machine. Jesus Machine, easily danceable with fun lyrics, evokes sounds of Seventh Day Slumber.
The pace slows with “Worship Jesus” and “Rusty Nails.” “Worship Jesus” is a sincere praise song acknowledging Christ as Lord, while “Rusty Nails” recognizes his great sacrifice for all.
Alive in You demonstrates the range, strength and vitality of this band. As it continues to grow and mature, 7eventh Time Down will definitely carve out its own niche in the Christian music scene.
