Sent By Ravens Takes Break

By Paul Gibson | August 1st, 2012

Hey friends. Hope you guys are having a great summer and are continually pursuing something you’re passionate about. We’ve been doing just that for the past 6 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. After 6 awesome years, we’ve decided to take an extended hiatus. We have all been working really hard at this band for quite some time. Frequently, when you’re focused wholeheartedly on

a goal, you miss the most important things in life. We are looking forward to spending some much needed time with our families and friends, building on those relationships that truly make our hearts happy. In the meantime, keep an eye out for other projects as I’m sure each of us will continue to pursue something with music. We love you guys and thank you for supporting us this far and in the exciting times that are ahead of each one of us. We’re going to be playing our final shows for the foreseeable future in August (posted below). This band would not be possible without our fans. You’ve kept us alive and passionate for the past 6 years. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Love,
Zach/Andy/JJ/Dane/Jon

Philmont To Disband

By Paul Gibson | July 13th, 2012

This just posted on the Philmont Blog.

The End.

Hello friends.
After much prayerful consideration it’s with a heavy heart that I announce to you that we’re ending Philmont after August. It’s been an amazing journey for all of us involved. Seven years ago when we held our first band practice in my parent’s house I never could have anticipated how blessed we would be in this musical endeavor. We’ve had so many amazing opportunities to not only play shows and (hopefully touch lives) but also to meet so many incredible people along the way.
We’re all planning on…

Disciple Guitarist Leaves Band

By Paul Gibson | July 13th, 2012

This just posted in the Disciple Forum.

Disciple fans,

I recently made one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make: it’s time for me to leave Disciple. My wife and I prayed, read the Word, and sought Godly counsel and decided together that this is God’s path for us. I’ve THOROUGHLY enjoyed the 4 1/2 years I spent in the band. I’ve been to some awesome places and met some awesome people and done it all with some of my best friends. It was by no means an easy or impulsive decision, and I know God has chosen this path for me and my family. I want to thank Kevin, Israel, Trent, and Micah for always being there through the good and bad times, and I thank all you fans for supporting the band so fervently. I hope you all will continue to support the music and ministry of Disciple, and support my wife and I with prayer. This is a huge transition for us and we need all the prayer we can get. I’ll be playing with the band until September 1st so PLEASE come out to every show you can so I can say my “see you laters”.

Love,
Andrew
